NEW YORK – The Backstreet Boys are back in the big game and USA TODAY is exclusively revealing the group's new Super Bowl ad with T-Mobile. Before filming the commercial, the five music artists invite USA TODAY inside The Hit Factory, a legendary studio in Manhattan's NoHo neighborhood.
"I know we've been here and we've recorded some stuff," Nick Carter, 46, says of the studio adorned with plaques of the Rolling Stones, Bruce Springsteen, Rihanna and Adele. "But I can't remember what it was."
According to a quick Google search, the Backstreet Boys recorded music that appeared on the 1997 U.S. re-release of their debut LP. Perhaps that jogs their memory?
"That was a long time ago," Carter responds.
Kevin Richardson shrugs and says, "could possibly be true."
