The Greater Chennai Traffic Police organised a Super Bike Rally to mark Road Safety Month.

Road Safety Month is being observed from January 1 to 31. Various road safety awareness programmes are being conducted throughout the month in schools and colleges. Steps are also being taken to organise these initiatives aimed at creating awareness among the general public, private organisations, and government institutions.

As part of this continuous effort, the Super Bike Rally organised by the Greater Chennai Traffic Police on Saturday night was flagged off by the Additional Commissioner of Police (Traffic), G. Karthikeyan. More than 600 participants, including members of the Chennai Motor Club, Chennai Race Club, volunteers, and traffic police personnel, took part in the rally with necessary safety measures.

The Super Bike Rally began at Anna Square Bus Stand and passed through Kamarajar Salai, R.K. Salai, Anna Salai, Periyar statue, and Kodimaram Salai, before concluding at Napier Bridge.

The event was attended by the Joint Commissioner of Police (Traffic South), P. Vijayakumar, IPS; Deputy Commissioners of Police, Megalina Iden, (Traffic East), Kumar (Traffic South), Jayakaran (Armed Reserve), and other traffic police officers.
