The whole of Italy is involved in the anguish of the New Year's Eve bar fire at the Swiss resort of Crans-Montana that killed 40 people including six Italian teenagers, President Sergio Mattarella told doctors treating two of the 14 injured Italians in Zurich Friday.

"I came here to thank you and to convey to the parents of the children the sympathy and feelings of the whole of Italy, involved in the anguish of what happened and in the hope that the young people can resume their lives in the best possible way," he told the doctors at the hospital.
