Giorgia Meloni's government's silence on the alleged "ravings" of United States President Donald Trump about taking Greenland is "incredible", Green-Left Alliance (AVS) co-leader Nicola Fratoianni said Monday.
"Faced with the new threatening ravings of a madman who, not content with the act of international piracy against Venezuela and international law, now wants to take over Greenland as well, there are strong reactions from governments across Europe.
Italy's silence, however, is incredible: does the Meloni government really think being a foolish servant to Trump is in the national interest?" Fratoianni said.
"By doing so," concluded the Italian Left (SI) leader, "the Right is bringing shame on our country.
And Italians truly don't deserve it."
