A total 16,720 applications seeking to include names in electoral roll have been received during the two-day special camps conducted on Saturday and Sunday across Virudhunagar district.
In a statement, Virudhunagar District Election Officer and District Collector N.O. Sukhaputra said that another round of special camps would be held on January 3 and 4 (Saturday and Sunday).
Mr. Sukhaputra said that special camps were held in all colleges in the district to include the names of students who turn 18 on January 1, 2026.
Residents whose name do not figure in draft electoral roll and those who have born on or before January 1, 2008 can submit Form 6 for inclusion of their names.
Form 6 can also be given in advance for inclusion of names with April 1, July 1, and October 1 as the qualifying date. The applications would be taken up for inclusion at appropriate date.
