Cuddalore district has received a total of 1,04,295 applications for inclusion, deletion and correction of entries in electoral rolls as part of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) 2026.
Following the publication of draft rolls, the Election Commission had announced that voters whose names were omitted and those who attained the age of 18 as on January 1, 2026; and non-Resident Indians could apply for inclusion of names by filing Form 6 and 6 A respectively.
Applications for deletion of dead voters or double entries (Form 7) and corrections (Form 8) were filed.
The draft electoral roll, released on December 19, 2025, has a total of 19,46,759 voters in the district. This included 9,60,645 men, 9,85,832 women and 282 voters registered under the third gender category.
According to the administration, applications received between December 19, 2025 and January 30, 2026, included 71,290 applications for inclusion (Form 6), 6,344 applications for deletions and objections (Form 7) and 26,661 applications for corrections, change of address and replacement of voter ID cards (Form 8).
