“Daily Show” host Jon Stewart on Monday predicted that President Donald Trump will run again in 2028 despite the fact that the Constitution specifically forbids it.
Asked earlier in the day about former adviser Steve Bannon’s claim that there’s a plan for a third term, Trump said: “I haven’t really thought about it.”
“He’s doing it!” Stewart exclaimed after playing the clip. “That’s the tell for whenever he’s asked about something that he is definitely going to do that is dubious legally, ethically, or morally. He says he hasn’t thought about it.”
In this case, there’s also another sign of Trump’s true intentions.
“We know he’s thought about it because he already has the merch,” Stewart said, and showed an image of Trump with 2028 gear on his desk in the Oval Office.
