Jon Stewart doesn't think President Donald Trump intends to leave office in January 2029.

On the latest episode of "The Daily Show," the comedian argued Trump is planning to serve a third term in the White House, which is prohibited by the U.S. Constitution. The 22nd Amendment limits presidents to two terms.

Stewart was reacting to a clip of Trump being asked if he could run for president again in 2028 in spite of the constitutional limitations. Trump insisted he hasn't "really thought about it," which Stewart described as "the tell for whenever he's asked about something that he is definitely going to do that is dubious legally, ethically or morally."

"He says he hasn't thought about it, but of course, we know he's thought about it because he already has the merch," Stewart said, showing a photo of the president with Trump 2028 hats on his desk in the Oval Office.

The comedian added that the "indications are very clear he's going to do it," pointing to Trump's move to demolish the East Wing of the White House to build a $250 million ballroom.
