With millions of social media followers, Mike Holston - known online as 'Real Tarzan'- built a brand on risky encounters with snakes, alligators and crocodiles.
But some of the American daredevil's latest videos, filmed in Australia, have sparked furious backlash and calls for his deportation, with critics branding him 'unfathomably stupid'.
In the past four days, Holston, 31, has uploaded clips showing himself catching freshwater and saltwater crocodiles in Queensland.
In one video he leaps out of a boat and chases a freshwater crocodile through ankle-deep water before diving on it. In another he wrestles a young saltwater crocodile on a river bank.
One of the animals managed to bite Holston during the struggle, with the adventurer admitting the reptile 'got a good piece of my arm' as blood gushed from a wound on his elbow.
