District Collector Pavankumar G. Giriyappanavar instructed officials to accelerate the restoration of damaged roads within Coimbatore Corporation limits during a review meeting held on Tuesday. The meeting was attended by Corporation Commissioner M. Sivaguru Prabakaran, and other officials.

Officials reported that restoration works are ongoing in areas affected by drinking water and underground drainage projects across the five Corporation zones - covering all 100 wards. The Collector inspected stretches including Sundapalayam Road near Krishnampathy tank in Ward 74, Kavundampalayam–Edayarpalayam Road in Ward 34, GN Mills Road and KNG Pudur Road in Ward 16, GN Mills Road near Kongunadu Arts and Science College in Ward 3, Ganapathy–Maniakarampalayam–Udayampalayam Road in Ward 10, and Mettupalayam–Nallampalayam Road in Ward 16.

The Collector reviewed the progress with officials and directed them to complete the restoration works promptly. Present at the meeting were City Engineer T. Vijayakumar, Divisional Engineers Dhanapal (National Highways) and Gnanamoorthy (Highways), Executive Engineer Muthusamy (TWAD Board), and Assistant Executive Engineers Savitha, Sathiyamoorthy, Hemalatha, Rajeshkanna, and Kanagaraj from the Corporation.
