Coimbatore Corporation Commissioner M. Sivaguru Prabakaran, who inspected the supply of drinking water to the residents in the city, instructed the officials to keep the overhead tanks clean.As per the guidance of the Chief Minister, drinking water is supplied at regular intervals to people in all 100 wards under five zones of the Corporation including East, West, North, South and Central. Accordingly, the Commissioner inspected the functioning of the overhead tank at Jai Nagar (Ward 18), which has a capacity of about 6.97 lakh litres, and the one at Subanayaganpudur, which has a capacity of about 1 lakh litres, in the North Zone.The Commissioner also inspected an unused overhead tank at Ramasamy Nagar in Kavundampalayam (Ward No. 18) and instructed the officials to bring the tank back into public use.
