A17-year-old boy who attempted suicide by hanging himself with his jeans in his cell at a Treviso juvenile prison on Sunday night-Monday morning died in a hospital in the Veneto city on Wednesday.
The quick intervention of prison officers allowed the prison doctor to treat and resuscitate the boy, who was nevertheless taken to the emergency room in very serious condition.
The minor had been placed in the Treviso prison reception center, at the disposal of the Prosecutor's Office, after being arrested a few hours earlier in Vicenza for robbery and criminal damage.
