As of today, August 27, plug-in solar panels are legal to buy and use across Great Britain, enabling households to save up to GBP 110 (USD 149.4/EUR 128.3) a year on their bills, the government announced.

Regulations come into force allowing 800 W plug-in solar kits to be installed in England, Wales and Scotland. Plug-in batteries currently excluded, but under investigation.
