Australia is drawing a new line between human creativity and artificial intelligence in music, with fully AI-generated songs set to be excluded from the country’s official music charts.

Songs created mostly or entirely by artificial intelligence will be excluded from Australia's official music charts from this Friday.

Brisbane producer Josh Fawaz’s synthetic rework of ‘Like a Prayer’ is set to disappear from the charts under the change made by the ARIA.

Only music deemed substantially human-made will qualify for Aria's charts.
