Nvidia debuts Nemotron 3.5 Lightning as first open model

Nvidia released Nemotron 3.5 Lightning (30B mixture-of-experts, 3B active) and NeMo Switchyard, a Rust library routing tasks to the most efficient model. This enables agentic workloads—parsing, classification, extraction—at fraction-of-frontier costs, shifting enterprise infrastructure toward specialized small models.
