Nvidia has released Nemotron 3.5 Lightning, a lightweight 30 billion parameter open-weight model, as it reportedly works on a larger model with 1 trillion parameters to challenge major model families.
The company also released NeMo Switchyard, which can select the appropriate model for a given task, potentially reducing costs.
Nvidia, the leading AI chipmaker, is working on a model with at least 1 trillion parameters in the Nemotron 4 family, The Information reported, as it seeks to stimulate competition around open-weight technology.
