The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has dismissed claims that it froze all bank accounts belonging to the Osun State Government, insisting that it only placed a temporary restriction on one statutory account over suspected suspicious financial transactions. Speaking during an interview on Arise TV on Thursday, the EFCC's Director of Public Affairs, Wilson Uwujaren, said the anti-graft agency imposed a targeted restriction on a single statutory account to preserve funds pending the outcome of its investigation.

According to the EFCC, the action forms part of its ongoing investigation activities.
