Rachid Sbihi, representing Civil Guard officers, characterised the situation as a 'serious humanitarian crisis,' noting that people were still entering and reinforcements were primarily assisting the injured and other humanitarian efforts. Spanish prime minister Pedro Sánchez is scheduled to visit the enclave on Friday morning, highlighting the severity of the situation in Ceuta, which, alongside Melilla, serves as the European Union's sole land border with Africa and frequently experiences migrant surges.
