Japan plans to acquire 27,500 Nvidia Rubin chips to power its national AI robotics initiative targeting 10 million robots across 18 sectors by 2040.

Noetra, a consortium owned by SoftBank, NEC, Sony and Honda, will run 27,500 Rubin GPUs for Japan’s FRONTia physical AI project. No price disclosed.
