Iran has reportedly invited BJP president Nitin Nabin and Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge to attend the funeral of former Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, whose last rites are scheduled to be held in Tehran next week. According to reports, Congress leaders Salman Khurshid and Pawan Khera have also been invited for the ceremony. Hindustan Times has further learnt that Minister of State for External Affairs Pabitra Margherita and Bihar Governor Lt Gen (Retd) Syed Ata Hasnain are expected to represent India at the funeral.
