PM Modi speaks to Iran President ahead of Ayatollah Khamenei's state funeral
Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian ahead of the state funeral of Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. During the call, Modi welcomed the recent U.S.-Iran understanding and reiterated India's position that disputes must be resolved through dialogue and diplomacy. He also stressed the importance of lasting peace, regional stability and freedom of navigation. While invited to attend the funeral in Tehran, Modi will be represented by a high-level Indian delegation led by Lt. Gen.
