The Trump administration says the U.S. will not renew the USMCA, a key trade deal that President Donald Trump negotiated in his first term.

Officials from the US, Mexico, and Canada will meet on Wednesday to review the trade agreement after Trump said he does not want to extend.

Donald Trump is trampling over agreements with the U.S.’s closest neighbors and allies.

USMCA came into effect on July 1, 2020, and is slated to expire after 16 years.

Trump previously said that he was leaning against renewing the deal in order to continue separate trade talks with both Canada and Mexico.
