US authorities have seized over 300 unauthorized drones at 2026 FIFA World Cup venues, with four individuals facing federal charges in Texas for airspace

Issuing a fresh warning to football fans and drone operators, police stressed that drones are not allowed in or around key World Cup locations.

Reports of the unauthorized drone being operated near Toronto Stadium came in on Wednesday afternoon, police said.

Police said an individual was charged with reckless operation endangering aviation safety late Friday afternoon.

The unauthorized drone was detected outside the FIFA Fan Festival around 7:15 p.m., as the event reached capacity and stopped letting people in.
