Speaking shortly before the Nasdaq opening bell, founder Elon Musk said: “SpaceX wants to be able to take you to the moon, take you to Mars and ultimately beyond.”

Traders on Polymarket think it's likely SpaceX will join a group of just six companies boasting a market value beyond $2 trillion.

At US$135 a share, the offering will raise US$75 billion, making it the biggest market debut in history.

SpaceX shares opened at US$150 in Nasdaq, up from its US$135 IPO price per share.
