Correspondents stationed near the White House said they heard what appeared to be repeated gunfire on Saturday, triggering an immediate security response around the grounds.

A shooting was reported outside the White House on Saturday and Secret Service members reportedly rushed reporters to shelter.

The FBI and Secret Service are on scene, says FBI chief Kash Patel.
