Two doctors accused in the death of popular Greek singer Giorgos Mazonakis are expected to appear before an investigating magistrate Monday, as authorities investigate the circumstances surrounding his final hours.
The doctors, who operate a private clinic in central Athens, face felony charges of endangerment resulting in death.
Investigators are examining the timeline of Mazonakis’ visit, including a discrepancy over his arrival time.
Video reportedly shows him entering the clinic around 1 p.m., while one doctor initially said he arrived at 4 p.m.
Authorities are also examining whether a medical procedure was performed after a device at the clinic was found to have operated for about 40 minutes.
