What does American fashion look like in 2026? At Macy’s, the answer is less about one definitive aesthetic and more about six very different design perspectives.
The retailer has tapped Tommy Hilfiger, Donna Karan New York, Michael Kors, Jonathan Cohen, Lapointe, and Theophilio for its Fall 2026 Celebrate American Designers campaign, a series of limited-edition capsule collections available exclusively on the Macy’s website. Together, the designers put their own sartorial signatures on the great American wardrobe, spanning heritage codes, fluid tailoring, statement dressing, expressive prints, and Caribbean-influenced streetwear.

Tommy Hilfiger knows his way around prep, and this capsule gives the classics — from cable knits and varsity jackets to denim and chinos — a timely refresh, in the form of sharper proportions fused with archival touches. Donna Karan New York takes her tailoring in a softer direction, swathing fluid silhouettes that move beautifully with the body in rich, considered neutrals. And then there’s Michael Kors, bringing all the drama with animal prints, fringe, and elevated fabrics that encourage dressing up, even when the calendar says Tuesday.
