New York Fashion Week 2026: Tommy Hilfiger brings preppy SS27 collection to The Plaza HotelTommy Hilfiger’s spring/summer 2027 show took place at The Plaza Hotel, where the designer and his wife Dee lived for more than a decade. The historic New York property, overlooking Central Park, was also the backdrop for the brand’s fall/winter 2026 campaign, starring ambassadors such as Gigi Hadid, who opened the show, Travis Kelce, Jisoo and Peggy Gou, all clad in the brand’s “prep made current” separates. The designer is not new to New York City’s landmarks – he once showed a collection at Grand Central Terminal’s Oyster Bar – but The Plaza obviously has a special place in his heart, as he explained in an interview before the show. What he recalls most fondly about his decade spent living there is the proximity to Central Park. “It was like living in the country,” he said.Tommy Hilfiger walks the runway with a dog at the end of the show. Youthquake and the energy of New York City were the running threads in a fun showcase of the preppy separates that have always been the bread and butter of Tommy Hilfiger, from navy blazers to rugby shirts and pleated skirts.Gigi Hadid opened the show clad in a blazer paired with a T-shirt. And I thought that it would be an incredible contrast to what we’re showing, and so many people have come through these revolving doors, over the years, all different personalities, all different people, different styles of clothes, families, celebrities, people from Hollywood, and I thought, what a great place to show.
