The European Union has implemented 26 per cent of the recommendations outlined by Mario Draghi two years ago, according to a report published on Wednesday by the Joint European Disruptive Initiative (JEDI Draghi Tracker).
"Progress is real, but it is not in sync with the pace of the world," the authors wrote in a press statement, criticising the bloc for moving too slow on legislation.
In September 2024, Draghi presented in Brussels a long-awaited report which included recommendations on how to make Europe more competitive and strategically independent from big global powers, such as the US and China.
