Bulgaria will continue to enjoy mostly sunny and warm weather, with temperatures reaching up to 36 degrees Celsius on Friday, September 11.
Today will remain mostly sunny across the country, with maximum temperatures between 30 and 35 degrees. In Sofia, temperatures will reach around 32 degrees.
The night will be mostly clear and almost calm. Low clouds may develop in some parts of eastern Bulgaria during the morning, but they will quickly break up and clear.
The National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology has warned of short-lived rain accompanied by thunderstorms and locally intense weather in mountainous areas of southwestern Bulgaria.
On Friday, the weather will remain mostly sunny, with temperatures rising further after noon. Cumulus clouds will develop in the western half of the country during the afternoon, but no precipitation is expected.
