Thursday, August 20, will bring another hot summer day across Bulgaria, with mostly sunny skies and temperatures reaching between 33 and 38 degrees. Sofia is expected to reach around 34 degrees.

In the early morning, the easternmost parts of the country could see low clouds or temporarily reduced visibility. Otherwise, sunshine will dominate, with only limited cumulus clouds developing in the afternoon, mainly over the Rhodope Mountains.

Winds will generally be light, becoming moderate from the southeast in eastern Bulgaria. Atmospheric pressure, which will rise above the monthly average overnight, is expected to fall during the day and return to its usual levels.

Along the Black Sea coast, conditions will be favorable for beachgoers, with mostly sunny weather throughout the day. Temporary low clouds or morning fog may form but should dissipate quickly. Air temperatures will range from 26 to 30 degrees, while sea temperatures will be around 25 degrees. Waves will reach about 2 points.

Mountain areas will also see plenty of sunshine. Only brief and insignificant cloudiness is expected in the afternoon over the Rhodope ranges. Moderate southeast winds will blow in the lower mountain areas, while winds on the highest and most exposed peaks will come from the northwest.
