Three stations on Athens Metro Line 3 will close early Thursday as rail replacement work continues between Eleonas and Monastiraki, transport authorities said.
Eleonas, Kerameikos and Monastiraki stations will close at 9.40 pm, about 2.5 hours before normal service ends. The temporary measures, which began Monday, are scheduled to end Thursday.
The last train from Dimotiko Theatro in Piraeus toward Doukissis Plakentias in the north will depart at 9.06 pm, while the last train in the opposite direction will leave at 9.30 pm.
Airport services will also be affected. The last train from Dimotiko Theatro to Athens International Airport will depart at 9.06 pm, while the last through service from the airport to Dimotiko Theatro will leave at 9.10 pm. After 9.40 pm, airport trains will operate only as far as Syntagma.
A temporary X24 bus service will operate between Syntagma and Egaleo from 9.40 pm until the end of Metro operating hours, serving Monastiraki, Kerameikos and Eleonas along the route.
