According to him, he was seated beside Datti Baba-Ahmed during the event, while the seat intended for Peter Obi was initially occupied by Baba-Ahmed.

Human rights activist and African Action Congress (AAC) presidential candidate for the 2027 general elections, Omoyele Sowore, has described Peter Obi and his former running mate, Yusuf Datti Baba-Ahmed, as “military apologists” and “Abacha boys.”

Sowore made the remarks while appearing on Arise TV, where he questioned the political relationship between Obi, Baba-Ahmed and President Bola Tinubu, arguing that their public criticisms of Tinubu did not correspond with their conduct around him.

Sowore said his doubts about the sincerity of some opposition politicians were reinforced by an incident at a 2023 peace agreement signing event involving presidential candidates.

According to him, he was seated beside Datti Baba-Ahmed during the event, while the seat intended for Peter Obi was initially occupied by Baba-Ahmed.
