Sowore questioned the credibility of the APC’s reported figures from the presidential primary held last weekend.

Human rights activist and presidential candidate of the African Action Congress (AAC), Omoyele Sowore, has faulted the outcome of the presidential primary conducted by the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), describing the figures announced in favour of President Bola Tinubu as fabricated and unrealistic.

Sowore spoke on Tuesday morning during the ongoing AAC presidential primary election in Abuja, where he accused the APC of using inflated figures to prepare Nigerians psychologically for alleged rigging ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The activist dismissed claims that over 10 million APC members participated in the primary that produced Tinubu as the party’s presidential candidate.

“I am telling you this because what you hear from the government offices against us is that we don't have a structure,” Sowore said.
