adsPresident Bola Tinubu has emerged as the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the 2027 general election after polling 10,999,967 votes in the party’s direct primary election held across the country.

Tinubu defeated his only challenger, Stanley Osifo, who garnered 16,504 votes from the 37 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

The results were collated at the Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Conference Centre in Abuja following the nationwide direct primary conducted simultaneously in all 8,809 wards on Saturday.

A formal declaration and presentation of certificate of return to the president is expected to be made by the party’s Chief Returning Officer on Sunday.
