The sources alleged that the officers led by one Superintendent Ayobami told the family that the Commissioner of Police (CP) had directed them to bring Atinuke on Wednesday.
The police have allegedly re-arrested Shotuminu Rofiat Atinuke, a nurse undergoing a specialty programme at the School of Mental Health/Psychiatric Nursing, Federal Neuro-Psychiatric Hospital, Yaba, Lagos State, with sources claiming that officers also mounted pressure on members of her family to produce her prior to the re-arrest.
The latest development, according to sources familiar with the matter, has raised fresh concerns over the treatment of the nurse, who was previously arrested and detained in connection with a dispute arising from her social media posts about an alleged romance scam.
Sources told SaharaReporters that following the latest development, police officers have been putting pressure on Atinuke’s family members, particularly her aged grandfather, allegedly demanding that the nurse be produced.
