Wizz Air will launch a new direct route between Varna and Yerevan in summer 2027, giving travelers from Bulgaria’s Black Sea coast a new connection to Armenia. The airline, which has the largest market share in Bulgaria, announced the route on September 8, with flights scheduled twice a week on Thursdays and Sundays.
The service will begin on June 6, 2027. Tickets are already available through Wizz Air’s website and mobile application, with one-way fares starting at €29.99, including the administrative fee and small cabin baggage.
Yerevan, Armenia’s capital, sits at the foot of Mount Ararat and is regarded as one of the world’s oldest continuously inhabited cities. The city is known for its historic heritage and architecture, combining ancient landmarks with a modern urban character. Key attractions include Republic Square, the Cascade, which offers views across the city toward Ararat, and the ancient Erebuni complex, associated with the origins of the Armenian capital.
The new route also offers travelers an opportunity to explore destinations beyond Yerevan. Armenia is known for its mountain landscapes, ancient monasteries and distinctive culinary and wine traditions. Visitors can travel to Lake Sevan, see the medieval monasteries of Geghard and Khor Virap, and experience traditional Armenian cuisine and the country’s renowned hospitality.
