SRM Medical College Hospital and Research Centre hosted a three-day bioinformatics and computational biology conference covering developments in modern life sciences, including population genomics, cancer genomics, microbial genomics, computational drug discovery, vaccine design, antimicrobial resistance, digital pathology, and AI-driven biomedical research.Titled IndiBioCom 2026, the conference featured experts and speakers from leading academic and research institutions in the country, including K. Thangaraj, CSIR-Centre for Cellular and Molecular Biology, Hyderabad, and G.P.S. Raghava, Director, IIT Delhi.R. Jayanthi, Dean (Medical), SRM Medical College Hospital and Research Centre, highlighted the importance of bringing computational science and clinical medicine together to develop patient-centred healthcare solutions. Sunil K. Narayan, dean (Research), underscored the importance of interdisciplinary collaboration in advancing bioinformatics, computational biology, and the future of biomedical research.
