to come

Fresh from a landmark year of provincial accolades, the Durban Africa Sports Club (DASC) has secured a vital R100,000 financial boost to propel its youth development initiatives into the 2027 financial year.

The funding commitment, jointly pledged by the George Ramalu Memorial Trust and Azelis South Africa was formally unveiled during the launch of DASC’s flagship “One Goal, One Education” programme at Hotel Savera in Chatsworth.

Boston Moonsamy, Managing Director of Azelis South Africa and Trustee of the George Ramalu Memorial Trust, confirmed the financial backing as DASC prepares to celebrate its 20th anniversary in 2027.

The upcoming milestone holds equal significance for the George Ramalu Memorial Trust. The year 2026 marks 25 years since the passing of the late George Ramalu, the respected football administrator and community leader whose vision of using sport to transform young lives continues through targeted community funding.
