An eye donation awareness rally was organised by Rajan Eye Care Hospital and Rotary Rajan Eye Bank in Chennai on Sunday, as part of their 24-year-long initiative to promote eye donation and encourage people to pledge their eyes.Health Minister K.G. Arunraj flagged off the rally and pledged his eyes for donation. He said eye donation could help restore vision in people with corneal blindness and urged more people to pledge their eyes.More than 1,500 Rotaractors and Interactors from schools and colleges participated in the rally. Actors Shanthanu and Keerthi Bhagyaraj, Rotary Governor Sriram Divvuri, and Poornima K., president, Rotary Club of Madras T. Nagar, were among those present.Dignitaries and participants also signed an eye donation pledge.
