Lukas Hornicek keeps his place between the posts for the Magpies, shielded by a back four of Amar Dedic, captain Malick Thiaw, Sven Botman, and Lewis Hall. In midfield, Nico Gonzalez and Lewis Miley anchor the engine room. The attacking trio of Anthony Elanga, Harvey Barnes, and Joe Willock operate behind lone striker Yoane Wissa.
Newcastle’s lineup and the Fernandez-Pardo question
Matias Fernandez-Pardo, Newcastle’s £51 million summer signing, takes a seat on the bench again. Jaissle appears content to ease his marquee acquisition into the fold rather than disrupt a winning formula.
Newcastle are also managing their own injury concerns. Dan Burn, Will Osula, Joelinton, and Tino Livramento are all unavailable.
