Bournemouth set the tone early. Marcus Tavernier found the net in the 9th minute to give the visitors a 1-0 lead. Then, in the 35th minute, a Malick Thiaw own goal made it 2-0.
What happened next was remarkable. Harvey Barnes needed just 27 seconds to respond, scoring in the 37th minute to halve the deficit.
