The Prajaseva Abhiyan, to be launched across the State on Saturday through the Department of Prajaseva, aims to bring administration to people’s doorsteps every Saturday, according to the State government.Arrangements have been made to hold the abhiyan at taluk and hobli levels every Saturday. The meeting will be held at the respective taluk centre on the first and third Saturdays of every month under the chairmanship of the District In-charge Minister. A unified schedule has been prepared to organise all the taluk and hobli level meetings in the next three to four months, an official release said. The public will be informed about the abhiyan at least 15 days in advance. Pamphlets will be distributed to people, including pre-printed application forms and checklists of required documents. Outbound calls will also be made through an artificial intelligence-based call centre to inform residents of the taluk or hobli about the date, time, and venue of the meeting, as well as details of the presiding public representative. The public can submit their applications and grievances in advance at the GramaOne Centre itself, the release said.GramaOne kiosks will be set up at the venue of each abhiyan and arrangements will be made for the public to submit applications and grievances directly online. On the day of the meeting, grievances will be managed in two separate queues. The first queue will be for new grievances, where petitions registered by the public for the first time will be recorded. The second queue will be for unresolved or unsatisfactory grievances.Grievances that have already been registered in the Unified Public Grievance Redressal System (UPGRS) but have not received any response or have not been adequately resolved even after 21 days will be considered in the second queue.During the meeting, a sanction letter can be distributed on the spot to eligible scheme beneficiaries. Similarly, appropriate approval or confirmation letter of redressal regarding grievances already resolved will be issued on the spot, the release said.A real-time system will be provided to the public to know the progress of applications and grievances. Through this, the applicants will be able to know the progress of their application or grievance. To ensure that citizens do not wander around for redressal of their grievances or complaints related to the services and schemes of various departments of the government, the State has developed UPGRS, a multi-faceted, data-driven and paperless software system under the Department of Praja Seva.
