A large fire broke out at a well-known restaurant on Kavatsite beach near Sozopol, sending thick smoke over the area, according to the Burgas Regional Directorate of the Ministry of Interior.
Two fire trucks and six firefighters were dispatched to the scene at Resto del Verono as the blaze spread through the establishment. Footage posted by eyewitnesses on social media showed a dense column of smoke rising from the restaurant.
Initial information indicates that the fire started in the kitchen before spreading and engulfing the entire establishment. Firefighters continued working to bring the blaze under control.
There were no immediate reports of injuries or casualties.
The incident comes just days after another major restaurant fire in central Sozopol, which also spread to nearby hotels and forced vacationers to evacuate.
