The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has confirmed that the Novatek-Ust-Luga oil refinery in Slobidka, Leningrad region, Russia, was hit.
According to Ukrinform, the General Staff reported this on Facebook.
On September 1, units of Ukraine’s Defense Forces struck the refinery in Slobidka, Leningrad region. The target was confirmed to have been hit, followed by a fire at the facility.
The extent of the damage is still being assessed.
The Novatek production complex in Ust-Luga is a facility for the fractionation and transshipment of stabilized gas condensate, located at the port of Ust-Luga on the Baltic Sea. The complex has a designed processing capacity of more than 6 million tons of stabilized gas condensate per year.
