The General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces has confirmed strikes on the Lukoil-Nizhegorodnefteorgsintez oil refinery in Russia and provided details on the damage inflicted on the Yaroslavl-3 oil pumping station.
According to Ukrinform, the General Staff reported this on Facebook.
"On May 19 and overnight on May 20, 2026, units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces struck a number of important Russian military targets," the statement said.
Among the targets hit was the AVT-6 primary oil refining unit at the Lukoil-Nizhegorodnefteorgsintez refinery near the town of Kstovo in Russia's Nizhny Novgorod region, triggering a fire at the facility.
Following the strike on the Yaroslavl-3 oil pumping station in Semibratovo, Yaroslavl region, preliminary reports indicate damage to four oil storage tanks with a total capacity of 140,000 cubic meters.
