Ukraine’s Defense Forces hit several major Russian military and energy targets overnight and into Thursday, May 15, including the Ryazan oil refinery, Russian warships, ammunition depots, and radar systems, Ukraine’s General Staff said. The refinery is one of Russia’s largest oil-processing plants, with an annual processing capacity of around 17 million tons of oil. “The plant produces gasoline, diesel fuel, and jet fuel used to meet the needs of the Russian occupation forces,” the General Staff said. Ukrainian forces hit Russian warships and depots The General Staff also said Ukrainian forces hit a small missile ship and a minesweeper at the Russian naval base in Kaspiysk. In the occupied Luhansk region, Ukrainian attacks targeted Russian ammunition depots near Yepifanivka and Rovenky. Additional attacks reportedly hit a logistics warehouse in Raihorodka and a Russian electronic warfare equipment depot in Dmytrivka in the occupied Donetsk region. Radar systems, fuel depots hit in Mariupol According to the General Staff, Ukrainian forces also targeted and decommissioned an FSB coastal technical reconnaissance post in occupied Mariupol. The attack reportedly damaged an MR-232 Bussol-S radar station and an optical-electronic module. Ukrainian forces additionally hit a Russian fuel and lubricants depot in Mariupol, the statement said.
