On the night of August 11, units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces struck an oil refinery in Russia’s Orenburg region.

According to Ukrinform, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this on Facebook.

The Defense Forces struck the Orsknefteorgsintez oil refinery in Orsk, Orenburg region.

This is one of the largest oil refineries in the Orenburg region and a key facility in Russia’s fuel and energy sector.

The plant has a capacity of approximately 6 million metric tons of crude oil per year. The facility produces automotive gasoline, diesel, and jet fuel, fuel oil, bitumen, and other petroleum products.
