Lhuan-dre Pretorius struck a T20I career-best 94 against Zimbabwe in Windhoek.
Heinrich Klaasen may have retired from international cricket, but he is still playing a role within the national team.
Instead of smashing sixes out of the ground in the green and gold, Klaasen is helping the development of the next generation of batters, namely Lhuan-dre Pretorius.
The 20-year-old opener revealed that he had given Klaasen a call after a spell of indifferent form, which immediately yielded a positive result, with Pretorius blasting 94 off 51 balls in the Proteas’ 43-run victory over Zimbabwe in Windhoek on Tuesday.
"Yeah, coming off a couple of low scores in The Hundred and in the first two games here, I just felt like I had to speak to him (Klaasen)," Pretorius said.
