Proteas opening batter Lhuan-dre Pretorius scored a maiden T20I century against Namibia oin Friday

Lhuan-dre Pretorius struck his first T20I century as South Africa survived a spirited Namibia fightback to secure an 11-run victory in the T20I Tri-series at the Namibia Cricket Ground in Windhoek on Friday.

The Proteas appeared to be cruising towards a massive total after Namibia won the toss and elected to bowl, with Pretorius and Connor Esterhuizen putting on a remarkable 156 for the opening wicket.

Esterhuizen was the aggressor early on, smashing 88 from just 40 balls, including eight sixes, while Pretorius provided equally destructive support.

The Proteas raced to 70 without loss in the powerplay and were 127/0 at the halfway stage, with Esterhuizen on 73 and Pretorius on 47.
